The specific technical details aren’t the useful part of this story for a vehicle owner — what matters is the effect: a jammer can make a tracker go silent without anyone physically finding and removing it.
A jammer placed inside or near a stolen vehicle — sometimes for just long enough to get it out of the immediate area — can create a dangerous gap where a tracker appears to simply stop reporting, with no obvious fault and no way to tell from the app alone whether it’s jamming, a coverage gap, or a technical failure.
